I have not posted anything original in a while and I would like to just make this one post an exception and say: I have not believed wholeheartedly Tumblr’s UI would change to whatever this is until I saw it now.
And my, as well as some (I assume many) other people’s feelings about it cannot be described better than by what I had seen few seconds after looking up “tumblr ui” (unless it was “tumblr twitter”) in the search bar:

“appaling” (the exact word I saw)

“I came here to escape the Twitter experience” (this one’s more me paraphrasing, but I’m sure OP of whatever that post was would agree with that. 99.99% sure.)

And that’s all. Tumblr corporation decision people - please do not do this. Even as a joke. This actually makes me want to use this website much less already.

Thanks to @raindropwindow and a handful of articles, it’s called snow albedo, skyglow, snowglow, or just light scattering! It’s the result of moon- or artificial light reflecting off ground snow, low clouds, or ice crystals.

I love seeing characters make the wrong choice. Like logically, morally, whatever. It should be so easy, so obvious, to do something right for once! But they don’t see it or they don’t care. Their instincts always lead them to choose poorly. Bad for them but great for me because it’s so interesting and I like to watch the suffering. ^_^
